Professor Jen-Tsung Lai Receives Taiwan Tinnitus Association Lifetime Achievement Award at TRI 2026

Professor Jen-Tsung Lai received the Taiwan Tinnitus Association Lifetime Achievement Award during a special ceremony at the Tinnitus Research Initiative Conference 2026 in Berlin.

TRI 2026 took place at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of Europe’s largest university hospitals and a leading centre for research, education and patient care. Its integration of scientific discovery with clinical practice has made Charité an influential institution in European academic medicine.

The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Birgit Mazurek, President of TRI Berlin 2026. The session was chaired by Professor Lieber Po-Hung Li, President of the Taiwan Tinnitus Association.

Professor Lai is Head of the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Kuang Tien General Hospital and the Founding President of the Taiwan Tinnitus Association. The award recognised his longstanding contribution to tinnitus care, research and professional collaboration in Taiwan and internationally.

The presentation took place on 17 September 2026 and brought together colleagues from the Taiwan Tinnitus Association and the wider international tinnitus community.
