Sister Conference Announcement: Call for Abstracts – 8th International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia (ICHM8)

Abstract submissions are now open for the 8th International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia (ICHM8), which will take place from 14–16 October 2026 in Hanover, Germany. As a sister conference to the 4th World Tinnitus Congress and XV International Tinnitus Seminar (WTC/ITS), ICHM8 provides a dedicated international forum focused on research and clinical care related to hyperacusis, misophonia, and other forms of sound intolerance.

Researchers, clinicians, and professionals working in audiology, ENT, neuroscience, psychology, and related disciplines are invited to submit abstracts presenting original research, clinical studies, or innovative approaches to the assessment and management of sound intolerance.

Hyperacusis and misophonia involve complex interactions between auditory processing, neural mechanisms, psychological processes, and lived experience. Progress in understanding and treatment requires interdisciplinary collaboration and the translation of research findings into effective and accessible care. ICHM8 aims to support this work by bringing together researchers, clinicians, allied health professionals, and patient advocates to examine emerging evidence and advance clinical practice.

In 2026, ICHM8 will take place alongside the 70th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians and Exhibitions (EUHA) in Hanover, creating a unique opportunity for participants to engage with one of the world’s largest hearing care industry exhibitions and conferences.
