New Distinguished Lecture Series Announced for WTC 2027
World Tinnitus Congress to Launch Distinguished Lecture Series in London 2027 New lecture programme to recognise excellence across tinnitus science, care, and leadership
The 4th World Tinnitus Congress (WTC) and XV International Tinnitus Seminar (ITS) will debut a new Distinguished Lecture Series at the upcoming 2027 congress, set to take place in London from 30 June to 2 July.
The series will feature five new plenary lectures, each recognising a specific domain of contribution to the field—ranging from psychoacoustics and neurobiology to translational research, psychological therapies, and mentorship. The initiative reflects the expanding scope and interdisciplinary richness of modern tinnitus science.
“These lectures allow us to recognise pioneers across the spectrum of tinnitus knowledge,” said Dr Hashir Aazh, Congress President. “From foundational lab science to human-centred clinical work, this series honours the people who are shaping the future.”
The Distinguished Lectures will complement the Tonndorf Lecture, the historic keynote of the International Tinnitus Seminar, which continues as a central tradition.
